Abstract: In conventional studies on Marx-Engels relations,[Critique of the Hegelian Dialectic and Philosophy as a Whole]in Heft III of Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 was the most cited text. The writing of this text could be divided to 3 stages, among which are the fragments on private property and human needs. In the first stage, Marx criticized Hegel with Feuerbach in order to elucidate the secret of D. Strauss and B. Bauer. In the second and the third, Marx realized that Hegel stood on the standpoint of national economist, and discovered the positive moments of Hegelian dialectic within the rule of alienation. It could be considered as the new starting point of Marx’s studies of political economy and his critique of the abstract power ruling human beings. Meanwhile, it included the potential critique of the humanism in Feuerbach. I therefore proposed that Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 is the cradle of Marx’s new materialism.
