Abstract: Community correction is a process of interaction between urban neighborhood and deviant people. With using 2018 CLDS data, we find that: firstly, increasing number of corrected people will decrease neighborhood cohesion. Secondly, neighborhood SES has moderating effect on the negative influence of community correction. Thirdly, the effectiveness of community governance can lessen the negative impact of community correction. The results show to promote community correction, we should not only care about correction but also pay attention to building community of neighborhood. We should also carry out the evaluation of neighborhood scientifically to promote the positive interaction of community correction and neighborhoods.
