The Problem-driven, Theoretical Sources and Academic Construction of Social Public Security Research

In recent years, great progress has been made in the study of social public security in China, which has gradually become an important part of the science of public administration. Both the modernization of state governance and the social transformation of China have provided a vast space for the systematization of the research of social public security. The researches of this field usually have a practical problem driven orientation, which mainly focuses on the key points of social conflict and its governance. The theoretical sources of the researches mainly include three branches: risk society, social movement and crisis management. Since these three branches are mostly based on the foreign theoretical scenarios, it is difficult to constitute the ontological foundations of China’s own social public security research.
