The Origin of Science of Economic Strategy and Economic Strategy in China
Abstract: Development economics began to gain popularity in China following the 1980 American Conference; development economics deals with development strategies, but it has not the property of science of strategy. The 1981 to 1988 China Conference led to a "hot" of study of development strategies, and science of economic and social development strategy transformed into science of economic development strategy, the latter focus on development issues but pay little attention to security issues. In China, development issues and security issues coexist, intertwine, and evolve in stages. These Characteristics require us establishing a more inclusive knowledge system, namely science of economic strategy which covers both development issues and security issues simultaneously. For China's current economic strategy, "four new and one high", namely the new development stage, new development concept, new development pattern, new quality productive force, and high-quality development, pertain to the situation judgment, the conceptual framework, action choices, and the top priority, provide strategic support for achieving the long-term goal.In addition to the stage-specific issues, China should also address general issues such as coordinated action, planning application, goal balancing, and system improvement in the course of formulating and implementing economic strategy.
