Digitalization Empowers New Quality Productivity in Enterprises: High Quality Innovation and Supply Chain Optimization
Abstract: Promoting the deep integration of the digital economy with the real economy is not only a necessary adaptation to the new technological revolution, but also a vital pathway for cultivating new quality productivity and achieving high quality economic development.Based on the connotation of new quality productivity, this paper constructs a comprehensive index system to measure the development of new quality productivity, and explores the impact and mechanisms of enterprises digitalization on new quality productivity. This study finds that the digital transformation of enterprises significantly improved the development of new quality productivity, with notable heterogeneity observed among enterprises at different levels of new quality productivity.Specifically, digital transformation exerts a stronger positive effect on enterprises with higher levels of new quality productivity compared to those with lower levels.Mechanism analysis reveals that digitalization enhances new quality productivity primarily through innovation driven development and supply chain optimization. On one hand, digital transformation promotes high-quality innovation and improves resource allocation efficiency, thus enhancing production efficiency. On the other hand, digital transformation strengthens supply chain resilience by optimizing supply chain efficiency, stabilizing supply-demand relationships, and improving supplier configuration. The research conclusions provide empirical evidence on how digitalization drives new-quality productivity and offer valuable insights for government aiming to foster the development of new-quality productivity.
