On Stiegler’s Absorption and Misinterpretation of Marx’s Thoughts on Technology

Focusing on today’s human malaise,Stiegler revealed that the collusion between marketing and spiritual industry had brought about three new issues in people’s spiritual life,i.e.symbolic misery,cultural politics and spiritual catastrophe.Based on these new issues,Stiegler had a dialogue with Marx’s technological thoughts.Taking Marx’s proletarian thoughts as the core,Stiegler has absorbed Marx’s technological thoughts for three times and put forward his theory of generalized proletarianization about the loss of work,life and theory knowledge after he analyzed the new phase of human exteriorization.In the context of general organology,Stiegler formally applied Marx’s technological thoughts and misinterpreted Marx’s thoughts on proletariat and materialist dialectics due to his deviation from historical materialism,which made him stuck in a rut of technological determinism.
