The Academic Lineage of Cifu Research in Fudan University
Abstract: The study of Cifu(“辞赋”) is an important part of the study of Chinese classical literature and literary style research. In this regard,Fudan University has its own academic lineage and tradition.Since Chen Zizhan first published relevant paper and led the road in 1933,the scholars have passed on from generation to generation and made many achievements. It can be seen that the study of Cifu in Fudan University can be roughly divided into three stages:The foundation period from 1933 to 1978,represented by Chen Zizan,Guo Shaoyu and Zhu Dongrun, established the academic tradition of Cifu research in Fudan University. The period of development from 1979 to 2006,represented by Jiang Tianshu,Gu Yisheng,Wang Yunxi and Zhang Peiheng, brought the study of Cifu into the stage of comprehensive exploration and development.Since 2006,Yang Ming,Xu Zhixiao and other scholars have been forging ahead in the field of Cifu research, while leading more young students to embark on the road of Cifu research. The study of Cifu in Fudan University is an organic component of the study of Chinese literary history and literary works, which corresponds to the study of the history of Chinese literary criticism. It is based on solid literature, pays attention to the “mutual evidence of literature and history”,and is good at the fusion and speculation of ancient and modern Chinese and foreign literary theories, and is full of gratitude in the inheritance of the learning pulse.
