Abstract
Since the concept of“Chinese philosophy” was introduced,it has attracted extensive interest and discussions within the academic community,culminating in a unified understanding on critical issues.However,to further foster its progress,it is imperative to explore deeper into its fundamental aspects.This paper aims to expound the prescriptiveness,theoretical nature,and academic significance of Chinese philosophy.The fundamental objective of Chinese philosophy lies in addressing universal human concerns through the lens of Chinese philosophical discourses.It involves the examination and reinterpretation of traditional Chinese philosophical thoughts,along with the contrastive interpretation and terminological innovation of foreign philosophical thoughts.Its autonomous knowledge system represents a theoretical reconstruction and innovation grounded in the intellectual resources of the Chinese-speaking world,aiming to shape the future philosophy of our life world.Moreover,Chinese philosophy stands as an open and vibrant domain,encompassing diverse themes,rich content,and a future-oriented perspective.It unveils and presents the potential of exploring universal philosophical problems and expressing unique philosophical forms in Chinese.The core value of Chinese philosophy resides in its methodological significance,shifting from the theory of Chinese as a language to the theory of Chinese as an ontology.This shift frees it from the constraints of Western philosophical discourse systems and establishing its own philosophical legitimacy.Additionally,it calls for a cross-cultural philosophical perspective to examine the relationship between the universality and particularity of philosophy,revealing previously obscured and neglected issues and giving rise to innovative theories and questions that transcend traditional boundaries.
