Abstract: On May 31st and June 1st, 2024, the editorial office of Academic Monthly, the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at East China Normal University, and the Shanghai Association of Language and Writing Professionals jointly hosted the "Language Change and the Development of Chinese Literature in the Past Century" academic symposium at East China Normal University. This was the seventh conference in the series of "Language Problems in Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature." Nearly 40 experts and scholars attended the conference and presented profound insights. In this article, the author attempts to summarize the main contents of the conference papers and presentations from the following five aspects.
