The Three-dimensional Virtual Technique and Its Application in Historical Study

Abstract
As the witness of history, the study of human is the key to restoring ancient society and solving historical problems. The human body has both natural and social properties. The studies on ancient human bones or cadavers belongs to the research on natural body. In recent years, the research on the natural properties of body has become increasing important in solving historical problems. There-dimensional virtual technique plays a very important role in reconstructing the details of the body history and improving the cognition of relevant historical issues. This technology has been widely applied to the research in various fields of international history. In contrast, most of the researches on the natural properties of the body in China are still focused on the traditional methods. The traditional methods only provide limited information of body. Therefore, it is urgent to popularize the three-dimensional virtual technique in domestic historical research. Focusing on three-dimensional virtual techniques, this study reviews on the origin and evolution of prehistoric human beings, ancient ancestors’ social life, medical conditions, migration and migration, and individual life from the perspective of natural body research. Further promotion of this technology will help to have a better understanding of history and archaeology.
