One As a Sign：The Symbol of Origin，Norm，and Order

The word “one” is originally taken as the smallest positive integer.Since being upgraded to philosophical concept by Lao Zi,the One takes a totally new identity,and echoes mutually with Dao（“道”，The Way）in Daoist studies of methodology and of “without shape”.Being astoundingly parallel to and directly perceived as corresponding with “many”.The One is explained in Origin of Chinese Characters as “only at the very beginning,Dao stands on One,dividing the heaven and the earth,and giving birth to everything.” It is not an original meaning,but a metaphysical one.In the unearthed text of The One Produces Water,and Everything Has moved to Forms,and Four Classics of Yellow Emperor,the One said by the Eastern Zhou Dynasty Daoists mutually corroborates with the one in the texts handed down from ancient times,and for the first time becomes a symbolic sign of orogin,norm,and order,becomes the origin of everything,and becomes the highest basis of unity and difference of things,and,also,becomes the most universal principle and law in building a good order.
