Aesthetics and Cognitive Science

This paper is an introduction to the author’s completed monograph Cognitive Aesthetics.This paper reflects on the logical characteristics of Chinese and Western aesthetic research,explains the thinking shackles that restrict the further development of aesthetic research at present,points out that the thinking law of humanities and natural science research are intrinsically linked and integrated,and aesthetic research should follow this thinking law and integrate the research results of natural science,brain science,psychology,humanities and social science,etc.In the general framework of cognitive science,the new theoretical construction of aesthetics is carried out.
