Abstract: The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to improve the influence of Chinese culture. To enhance cultural self-confidence and achieve cultural rejuvenation, the fundamental is to make Chinese traditional culture fit the times. The role of traditional culture in the current trend of the times depends on two economic forces: domestic economic development and globalization. Modern economic growth depends on three aspects: market and law as the main resource allocation system, property rights protection and free flow of production factors. Traditional Chinese culture dimensions that conform to modern economic growth revitalize, while those that do not conform to economic laws are reshaped by economic growth. At the same time, these three aspects are also common features of modern economic growth in all countries. Fitting traditional Chinese culture into economic laws will help Chinese traditional culture to be recognized by the international community, to tell a “China story” that can be universally accepted, and to realize the rejuvenation of Chinese culture.
