Implementation on People's WellBeing —— A Study Based on the Development Strategy of Yangtze River Economic Belt
Abstract: Based on the panel data of 285 prefecturelevel cities from 2010 to 2020,this paper considers the implementation of Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy as a quasinatural experiment to study the enhancement effect of regional integration policy implementation on people's wellbeing using the differenceindifferences method.The results show that the level of people's wellbeing in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has a trend of downstream > midstream > upstream,and it is higher than the national level after 2014.Regional integration policy implementation can significantly enhance people's wellbeing and has cityscale heterogeneity.Population mobility,foreign trade market,industrial structure upgrading,and digital inclusive finance are the key paths for the enhancement effect of regional integration policy implementation on people's wellbeing.Therefore,it is necessary to deepen the implementation of the Yangtze River Economic Belt development strategy to create a new model of coordinated regional development,accelerate the transformation of the development of mega cities and effectively promote the reasonable flow of population,promote a higher level of opening up to the outside world,expand domestic demand to enhance the endogenous power and reliability of the domestic cycle,innovate and develop digital inclusive finance,and support the transformation and upgrading of regional industries with digital technology.
