Abstract: Zhang Tailei was one of the founders and leaders of The Communist Youth League of China.A newly discovered Russian-language article written by Zhang Tailei in 1924, "Our Task in the East", reflects his views on the Eastern youth movement.He stressed the importance of the establishment of a broad mass organization of youth in the colonial countries of the East, while guidance from the Young Communist International and assistance from the Communist Youth League of the imperialist countries were also important.This article was published after Zhang Tailei's active participation in the Fourth Congress of the Young Communist International, where he stressed that the Young Communist International and the Communist Youth League of the imperialist countries should provide more assistance to the Eastern youth movement, which drew the attention of the Young Communist International.It can be said that Zhang Tailei inherited Lenin's spirit concerning the colonial question, made the The Communist International to devote more attention to the East.In a word, Zhang Tailei played an important role in the international communist movement.
