Research Status and Academic Space of the New Immigrant Literature

  • According to incomplete statistics, there have been thousands of research achievements on the Literature of the New Immigrants in mainland China from the 1990s to the present 30 years. To sort out the current situation of the study of the New Immigrant Literature in mainland China conveniently and effectively, we divide the study of the New Immigrant Literature into three stages (each contains 10 years) for observation and analysis, in order to outline academic course of the study of the New Immigrant Literature in mainland China. Based on the research status of the New Immigrant Literature in mainland China, we also investigate the academic space of the New Immigrant Literature, and summarize the characteristics, shortcomings and development suggestions of the current study of the New Immigrant Literature.
