Collective Memory: Community of Fate and Social Construction of Individual Narrative

Abstract
Community of fate is a temporary social group formed in the process of large-scale emergencies or crises. In fate community, formed by the common experience of historical events closely correlation between individual members, and a strong sense of identity and social group cohesion, community members under this form relatively unified subjective framework of collective life, and its matching ideas, vocabulary, rhetoric and symbolic ceremony. Under the action of these emergent mechanisms, the community of destiny forms the collective frame of historical narration on three levels, centering on the theme of memory, narrative tone and discourse system. Due to the influence of adolescence and early adulthood and strong social identity, the community of fate and the frame of collective memory even have a long-term influence on individual narrative, but they are also restricted and challenged by generational succession.
