When Artificial Intelligence Involves in the Ecology of Public Opinion:Structure,Discourse and Governance
-
Abstract
Artificial intelligence technology in the digital era has promoted the ecological transformation of the online public opinion environment, which has triggered structural changes in the outbreak and development of online public opinion events, and provided new “technological-cultural logics” for users to accept information and express opinions.Specifically, generative artificial intelligence participates in online public discussions through strategies such as automated production systems, precise recommender algorithms, and emotional interactive dialogue, which shows that generative artificial intelligence is simultaneously a conversational aid and a data indexing tool for users.Researchers should update the concepts and discourses of online public opinion studies to improve their understanding of the online public opinion ecology involving artificial intelligence technology, and conduct research and governance practice of online public opinion based on this.
