Better Life, People’s Livelihood Security and the Maximization of the Right to Labor Felicity

  • The good life is a kind of state of life that everyone expects and longs for, but to make this state of life into a measurable and tangible existence, it is inseparable from the appearance and introduction of the concept of the right to labor felicity. In essence, the good life can be understood as the maximum realization of the right to labor felicity in accordance with the current stage of productivity and level of social and economic development. Only when the right to labor felicity is fully realized can people’s livelihood be truly secured. This new type of the people’s livelihood security is completely different from the traditional relief, mercy and almsgiving type of the people’s livelihood security, and belongs to a deeper concept of the people’s livelihood security. The realization of such deep people’s livelihood security needs to be based on the concept of the right to labor felicity. The right to labor felicity is the untransferable and initial right that everyone has, which reflects the natural right of everyone to acquire human attributes. It is both the rational ground of all rationality and the unreasonable ground of all irrationality. Everyone needs to realize the right to labor felicity through honest and creative labor.
