For Long-term, Overall and Multidimensional Development: The Political Economy of China Road

  • Long term, overall and multi-dimensional development is the common development goal of mankind. The success of China’s reform and opening up has been accompanied by the transformation from planning to market, from tradition to modernity, and from semi-closed to open economy. China has continuously deepened reform on the road of long-term, overall and multidimensional development. However, it should be noted that while achieving rapid economic growth, the traditional system and concept also restrict the development of high quality. With the long-term, overall and multi-dimensional development as the goal, China must further release the reform dividend by improving the socialist market economic system with Chinese characteristics. China not only needs to gather consensus for a higher level of reform and opening up at home, but also needs to explain the universal principle of China’s development in international society.
